Introduction
I am interested in reading the writing of women. My observation is that most of women's writing which was once acclaimed and popular falls out of our cultural references. I've noticed that when new works are published they are considered innovative, because the references to previous women's writings are unknown or forgotten. I don't want this to happen. I don't want each new generation to believe they are starting from scratch. They aren't. In my research for my PhD I have found writings by women who I did not know about. I am both angry and delighted; angry that these works were hidden from me (when I was actively seeking them my whole life) and delighted to have found them. They should not be hidden from others. So, I am planning to use this blog to trace over them, to edit them in, to keep them alive.
